In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
[Verily] all praise is for Allah; we seek His help and His forgiveness. We seek refuge with Allah from the evil of our own souls [and from our bad deeds]. Whomsoever Allah guides will never be led astray, and whomsoever Allah leaves astray, no one can guide. We bear witness that there is no god but Allah [alone and without any partner], and We bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
Dar Al Salam Islamic Center (DAIC) is established on the principles of Ahlus-Sunnah wa Jama’ah. Their principles are based on the idea of referring all matters of religion, theoretical and practical, to the Quran ( The book of Allah ) and the Sunnah ( The teachings, traditions and path of the Messenger Muhammed, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) upon the understanding of the righteous early generations, namely the Sahaabah and Taabi’en, and those who followed them in righteousness. Abdullah ibn Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said, “The best people are those of my generation, then those who come after them, then those who come after them.” (Bukhari and Muslim)
Along with venerating the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and the way of the Rightly-Guided Caliphs, DAIC is dedicated to applying and teaching the following principles: loving those who follow the Sunnah; avoiding bid’ah and innovations in the religion of Allah, both theoretical and practical, and condemning those who follow them; and striving to cleanse people’s thoughts and actions of these innovations and to bring them back to the way of life of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and his companions, following his guidance and the true religion.
